The Ridgeback tent is a two-person tent that, thanks to its single pole structure, is very simple to erect. In fact, it's all easy: putting it up, dividing it into two or three parts for shared carrying, and repairing it if things turn pear-shaped.... Designed for three-four season bushwalking use, this tough little number is designed and made for the toughest user groups - Kids!
The Ridgeback has proven itself over time and is used and preferred by some of Australia's larger outdoor education providers. The big vestibule gives storage room, protected by the overhanging fly even when the door is open. The 75 denier polyester fly and heavy-duty bathtub floor keep the weather out and will take some abuse, as will the alloy pole and pegs. The key-pin pole attachment system is a simple, robust and fool proof system developed specifically for use on our Industrial range, while the #10 YKK coil zips have a width of 10mm, double that of most tents. Reflective guy-ropes with in-built storage reduce campsite accidents.
The Ridgeback is designed and built with the same quality features as the other tents in the Industrial range. As with all tents in the range, spare parts are readily available thanks to the fixed basic design and specifications, which allows for interchangeable parts between new and old models. The fly can even be pitched alone to create a lightweight shelter. We can also add a reflective 'staff' logo on the side to allow easy tent identification, day or night.
